dl Terms of use
The terms for Directionally Local's free tier and websites: offered as-is during testing, one account per person, no abuse or reselling.

These terms are between you and Intel Deployed Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company that trades as Directionally Local ("we"). They cover the free tier at free.directionallylocal.com and our websites, directionallylocal.com and dl.new. By using them, you agree to these terms.
dl, Autopilot and our other software are open source. Their licences (Apache-2.0) cover the software itself. These terms add the rules for the services we run.
The free tier is a test
- The free tier is offered as-is, during testing. It is invite-only for now, and it may change, pause or end at any time.
- Allowances can change. Today it is 50 million tokens or US$5 a person a week, whichever comes first, on one model. When the free tier's overall budget runs out, free tokens pause for everyone. Your own key keeps working.
- Using a different model or provider means bringing your own key, under that provider's terms.
Your account
- One account per person. Sign in with your own GitHub account, and don't share your account or create extra ones.
- You must be at least 16.
- Keep your tokens and server keys secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including agents that run with your server keys.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- get around the limits, for example with several accounts, shared accounts or several people on one account;
- resell the free tier, or offer access to it to others as part of a product or service;
- use it for anything illegal, to make malware, or to harm others;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or get into anyone else's account;
- break the terms of the model providers that serve your requests (Luminal and its backup providers).
Your content
Your prompts and outputs are yours. We don't claim them, and we don't store them (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for what you send and for checking what comes back: AI models make mistakes.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk, without notice. We may also refuse any sign-up.
No warranty
The free tier and the websites are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, and the accuracy of any output.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim about the free tier or the websites is limited to S$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may change these terms. We post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using the free tier after a change, you accept the new terms.
